Did your childhood favorites age like wine or milk? Are our favorites actually classics or are our memories fooled by nostalgia? Join us each week as we share our unsolicited opinions while walking down memory lane.
Each week, either Kyle or Jess will nominate one of their favorite movies from their early years. They'll recap what they each remember from the movie before the rewatch and then break down the movie after watching it with fresh, adult eyes. Ultimately, Kyle and Jess will determine if their childhood classic aged like a fine wine or soured like a glass of milk left out on the counter overnight.
Kyle
Kyle (he/him/his) is a video game loving software engineer currently living in Austin, Texas. As a philosophy major during his good old college years, Kyle loves breaking down problems and playing devil's advocate. He spends his free time bribing the cat and dog to love him more than Jess. He is also an amateur bread baker. Kyle watched a lot of feel good family classics as well as musicals growing up as a child but unfortunately remembers zero of their plot points.
Jess
Jess (she/her/hers) is an east coast native and social worker. She binges everything she consumes including Netflix series, books, podcasts, and any and all snack foods. A former marathon runner, Jess is currently on a running sabbatical and has recently taken to falling off her yoga mat regularly. Jess watched many action comedy movies as well as romantic comedies growing up alongside her two brothers and mother.
